Union City, CA · East Bay · Operator-owned fleet

Union City charter bus rental from the company that drives the bus.

Union City BART is about 15 minutes from our Hayward yard on I-880, so an early departure here starts with a short empty leg and a driver who is not already tired. No marketplace, no subcontractor, no 20–40% broker margin between you and the company running the trip. One number reaches dispatch, before the trip and during it.

The runs our drivers already know

Distances are road miles from Union City BART on Decoto Road. Times are typical off-peak, before the I-880 and CA-84 merge builds. Each row is a run we stage out of Union City.

Union City BART last-mile campus shuttlesDecoto Rd, Alvarado-Niles Rd, into Fremont and NewarkThe station is the transfer point for workers coming from all over the Bay, and the last two miles are what transit does not cover. Why it matters who owns the bus

Direct operator vs. national booking marketplace

What Union City charters typically cost

Ranges are published so you can budget before you call. The quote comes back itemized to the hour and the mile, and it does not move after booking unless the trip does.

Minibus, 24–35 passengers$150–$175/hr

Driver included. Five-hour minimum, so a half day runs $750–$875. BART connectors, shift shuttles, wedding loops, OAK and SJC runs.

Motorcoach, 56 passengers$190–$245/hr

Driver included. Quoted per itinerary on top of the hourly rate because deadhead, tolls and return time change the total.

Recurring shuttle programContract rate

Daily BART connector and shift routes for Union City and Fremont-corridor employers. Monthly invoicing, PO-based billing and net terms.

Always included: driver, fuel, standard insurance, live tracking. Quoted separately: tolls, parking, driver overnight on multi-day trips, gratuity if you choose to add it.

Union City FAQ

Answers from the people who dispatch the buses

How much does a charter bus cost in Union City?

A half-day (5-hour) 24-35 passenger minibus in Union City typically runs $750–$875 including driver. A 56-passenger motorcoach is quoted per itinerary. With our Hayward yard 15 minutes up I-880, the empty miles on a Union City job are short, and the quote shows that line rather than hiding it in the rate.

Can you stage a bus at Union City BART?

Yes. The station has a designated charter loading area on the east side, and we use it as the standard meeting point for groups assembling from across the Bay and for the connector shuttles we run into Fremont and Newark.

Which airports do you serve from Union City?

Oakland (OAK, about 15 road miles), San Jose (SJC, about 17 miles) and San Francisco (SFO, about 30 miles). OAK and SJC are close enough to each other in drive time that we quote whichever fits your itinerary rather than defaulting to one.

Are you a broker or the actual bus company?

We are the operator. Umbrella Global Bus owns its coaches, minibuses and Sprinters, employs the drivers, and runs dispatch and maintenance in house under CPUC TCP 0037963 and USDOT 3126263. Booking with us does not put a middleman between you and the driver.

Do you run shift shuttles for warehouses on the west side of town?

Yes. Whipple Road, Dyer Street and Union City Boulevard sites are steady work for us. Shift-timed loops run at a contract rate with fixed departures, the same drivers each cycle and a live tracking link so the site lead is not calling to ask where the bus is.

Can you provide a certificate of insurance for New Haven Unified or a Union City employer?

Yes. Because we own the vehicles, we issue the COI directly, usually the same business day, naming the district, the city or your company as certificate holder with the wording their office requires.
